Original sash windows from the Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian eras add character to large areas of London and demonstrate how past generations had the skills to produce extremely fine examples of carpentry. We at SPS believe these windows should be seen as part of the area’s architectural heritage and where possible should be preserved.

With over 10 years of experience, SPS only employ highly skilled craftsmen and tradesmen.

Work is carried out on site using our portable workshop using materials and paint of the highest quality (SPS have their own joinery shop should need arise for any bespoke carpentry).

SPS ensure clients home are kept as clean as possible and so we move valuables, cover furniture and valuable electronics with one-use-only plastic dust sheets. The windows are made secure on a daily basis and at the end of each working day we aim to leave the clients premises as clean and tidy as possible.

The refurbishment process costs roughly half that of replacement and involves fitting a draft proofing pile that not only cuts down on drafts, external noise and dust but also eliminates rattle. While some windows SPS encounter are in a extremely dilapidated state, there are few that cannot be repaired on site at a fraction of the cost of new sashes and box sash frames.

  • SPS always strive to repair rather than replace sash windows.
  • SPS strive to give excellent levels of care to our customers and their property.
